چکیده
In all fruit and vegetable crops, reduction in quality during postharvest storage leads to substantial losses of primary production with enormous economic consequences. Also tomato, shelf-life is an important trait. this study a collection tomato accessions, consisting 92 S. lycopersicum landraces old cultivars several pimpinellifolium was phenotyped for parameters biochemical characterization performed the from selected accessions. This based on available genotypic data represents genetic diversity present EU–SOL core (Roohanitaziani, 2020). The grown greenhouse, were harvested at breaker-turning stage stored controlled climate chamber 42 d 18 ?C. attributes firmness loss, weight as well color pigments, measured once week evaluated over time. All three shelf-life-related varied markedly among resulting different shelf-life. most promising accessions first screen re-grown analyzed validate initial results six contrasting metabolite analysis. Fruit breaker 35 Samples taken weekly intervals volatile compounds, metabolites cell wall polysaccharide monomers. During long short showed considerable differences their content sugars, such galactose polyamines, putrescine pericarp. galactose, arabinose galacturonic acid, underwent changes storage. contained higher amount than other which indicative highly branched pectin. knowledge provides better understanding difference pectin structure between ripening process.

Diverse postharvest responses of tomato fruits at different maturity stages to hot water treatment
Sensitivity of tomato fruits to chilling injury limits its storage and marketability. This study investigated the effect of hot water treatment (HWT) on reducing the consequences of chilling injury (CI) with respect to quality attributes of tomatoes during storage. Tomatoes were harvested at three ripening stages: mature green, pink, and red; dipped in hot water at 45°C for 15 min; and stored a...

Sweet pomegranates (Punica granatum L. cv Mollar de Elche) were cold-stored for 90 days. Curing at 33°C and 95% RH for 3 days before continuous storage at 2 or 5°C and 95% RH was tested for reducing chilling injuries. Alternatively, cycles of intermittent warming (IW) of 1 day at 20°C every 6 days at 2 or 5°C were tested. Control fruits were conventionally stored at 2 or 5°C and 95% RH, and a s...

ABSTRACT: This study was aimed at probiotication of tomato and carrot juices using Lactobacillus plantarum, Lb. fermentum, Lb. casei, Lysinibacillus sphaericus and Saccharomyces boulardii. To enhance the stability, the probiotic cultures were micro-encapsulated using alginate coated chitosan beads. Tomato and carrot juice samples were pasteurized for 20 min at 63 °C. Lb. fermentum, Lb. plantara...

Increasing Shelf Life and Maintaining Quality of Mango by Postharvest Treatments and Packaging Technique
This experiment was carried out to increase the shelf life and maintaining the quality of mango (Mangifera indica) fruits. There were two factors. Factor A: postharvest treatments with six levels (1. untreated (control), 2. washing with chlorine, 3. dipping (5 minutes) in calcium chloride (CaCl2), 4. dipping (5 minutes) in bavistin and rinse in clean water, 5. hot water treatment and 6. tap wat...
